One of my patients -- let's call him Dave -- found out that his cholesterol was up. His GP immediately prescribed Lipitor, a common cholesterol-lowering drug.
Glancing over the prescription, Dave said, "Listen, I don't exercise. I'm eating junk food most of the time. I'm going to clean up my diet and work out. Let's see how that goes. Can I hold off on the drugs for now?"
Usually doctors will agree that exercise and diet are a good first route. But not this time...
"No, that won't help," said his GP. "Both your parents have high cholesterol so it MUST be genetic."
You've seen the commercials, haven't you? Where they say: "Cholesterol comes from TWO sources: From FOOD or from YOUR GENES. Talk to your doctor about the new so-and-so drug that will control..."
Yes, genes can cause someone to lean towards high cholesterol (just like some people lean towards being overweight). I don't think, however, that many people give exercise and diet a solid effort before they conclude it's "genetics."
Even if it is due to "genetics," does that conclusively mean that exercise and diet won't help? Absolutely not. I'm not saying that walking and broccoli will cure you every time, but it would be difficult to argue that they won't have a positive impact.
Let me put this another way... If Dave's parents lived off fruits and vegetables, swam 40 laps everyday and STILL had high cholesterol then chances are we need to take further action.Yet, as was the case, Dave's folks still considered French-fries a serving of vegetables and they exercised as rarely as an oak tree.
So, yes, Dave probably did inherit high cholesterol from his parents... but it sounds to me more like they passed it down habitually, NOT genetically. They're the ones who taught him these e-food diet and, probably by example, to neglect physical fitness.
Well, Dave cut the red meats and refined sugars out of his diet, started eating more vegetables and whole grains. He reduced his trips to the fast food hut. He started eating more fruit instead of sugary snacks. Never a jogger before, he took it up 3-4 times a week, for five kilometers at a time.
Strange thing, he found... he liked it.
And, not surprisingly...
...six months later, Dave had his cholesterol checked again, and it went right back down to NORMAL. No hint of a problem.
"This is cool!" Dave told me. "I'm gonna tell my parents, 'cause they need to get off their butts too. They're thinking it's all genetic and they need to stay on these drugs because THEIR parents died from a heart attack."
Well, Dave's example got his parents walking each day and eating better. Now their cholesterol is down to normal and they're off the drugs.
If Dave hadn't made the first move, I bet his kids would be labeled with the "cholesterol genes." Same with his grandkids. A whole family tree taking drugs they don't need.
If you've been told your cholesterol is high, and you would like to lower it naturally -- avoiding costly drugs and their side-effects -- then here's how I can help:
* Pin-Point the MAIN Causes of Your High Cholesterol: Many factors cause high cholesterol in different people. Sometimes it's diet, sometimes it's lifestyle, stress, lack of exercise, genes or the result of another illness. The first thing I'll do is examine your case history, ask you key questions and run some non-invasive tests. Then I'll be able to determine what is the main issue we need to address to quickly start dropping your cholesterol points and extending your life.
* Easy Cholesterol Lowering Diet: I can put together a list of tasty, natural foods to replace typical (and not so typical) culprits that directly or indirectly fill you up with artery-clogging cholesterol. Using a special Food Pharmacy computer software system, I can create a diet plan tailored to your body type and needs. This should produce faster results than following a generic plan written for the general public.
* Herbal Shortcuts: I can determine, for example, which herbs or vitamins/minerals would help insulin better bind to sugars in your bloodstream -- so they don't get sent to your liver and recycled as cholesterol-laden fat.
If your cholesterol is above 5.2, you're body is at risk for a heart attack or stroke. Would you rather be like Dave? In three to six months you could drop back down into the risk-free zone. Call my receptionist Suzanne at (519) 739-2402 to book a "Conquer Your Cholesterol" appointment.

P.S. Check out the article about fish oil in the April InnerCircle Newsletter (mailed to active patients). Fish oil helps your insulin bind to sugars so it doesn't get sent to your liver and recycled as fatty cholesterol. Fish oil also cuts cravings so you don't absolutely, must, can't-live-without a chocolate bar this afternoon.

10-Year Old Boy Sentenced to Life
Last Monday at dinner, Ella, my two and a half year old daughter, eats three mouthfuls of food and sets down her spoon. Turning to me, with a slightly confused look on her face, she says:
"Wan choc-lick."
"Ella," I say, "just eat your dinner."
"No! Wan choc-lick!"
And she goes running off looking for her Easter baskets -- which we had conveniently RE-hid.
Hiding the horde works if you persevere for a few days. Easter night we stashed most of their candies away. On Monday night we hid even more. It's the whole out-of-sight, out-of-mind idea.
They don't even notice their inventory has diminished.
What else can you do, when family and friends drop by with enough sweets to turn your home into the set for the next remake of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"?
Now, I know I've talked about sugar for a few emails, and I promise after this Easter story I won't mention the S word again for a while.
It's just the amount of su... uh, glucose the average child is consuming is dangerous. If you think I'm being an alarmist, good. Never at any time in recorded history did so many teenagers have Type 2 Diabetes. In North America, diabetes is an epidemic cutting years off peoples' lives and adding a number of complications including kidney disease and vision problems.
One warning sign that diabetes is approaching: elevated cholesterol levels.
So when you start seeing high cholesterol in children, this isn't good news.
The American Heart Association currently estimates that 10% of children aged 12 to 19 have dangerous levels of total cholesterol towering above 200 (approximately 5.5 in Canadian units).
Now get this...
In February, the US Food and Drug Administration approved a powerful drug, lovastatin, for use by children to help them lower their cholesterol levels.
The American Academy of Pediatrics has pointed out that there's been little research into the long-term effects of this drug on children. For example, one study lasted only 12 months with boys and six months with girls. Hardly enough time to see what side-effects the drug will have.
Statin drugs are not like a mild antibiotic, with respect to their side effects. They go right to the liver and stop cholesterol from being produced. It requires a health care professional monitoring your liver every three months to make sure nothing is damaged. Statins literally block an enzyme in your liver from making cholesterol. You need to make sure it doesn't block any others in the process.
You see, cholesterol is necessary to sustain every single cell in our body. That's why our body produces it. The problem comes when it starts producing too much or we ingest too much.
So why are these kids producing too much cholesterol? Most kids, after all, aren't eating a pound of butter, a quarter-pound of steak and other animal fats. Cholesterol is only found in animal products such as eggs, meat, butter, etc. OR from your own"animal" -- your body.
Now, I promised not to talk about s***r, here, but I'm afraid it all comes back to it. Kids are not getting high cholesterol from steak -- they are more likely getting it from a Snickers bar...
* Too much sweets go into the blood.
* Their body can't burn it off fast enough.
* Excess glucose is sent to their liver where it turns into fat (which includes cholesterol).
Here are four things you can do to help your kids (or yourself) avoid being sentenced to life with statins or any other drug:
1) Avoid refined sug** which absorbs far quicker than even a hyper-active kid can handle. Focus more on fresh whole fruit, which takes longer to break down.
2) Make sure your kids are active enough (e.g. kicking a ball around, not sitting in front of the TV). Exercise will burn up the corn syrup in their blood stream, so that it doesn't get turned into fat (and cholesterol).
3) Often what happens is all those M&Ms, day-in and day-out, causes "insulin-resistance." That's where, the insulin in your blood (which usually helps absorb glucose) stops working as effectively. This, of course, can lead to diabetes. There are a number of supplements I offer at my clinic to help get your child's insulin back into shape.
4) Stress-reduction. Don't think kids don't experience stress. Some kids look at school with the same appeal as being drafted for the military. If children feel like they are in a "threatening" situation then their adrenal glands will send out cortisol. Cortisol tells the liver to dump its "emergency" supply of stored glucose from the liver into the blood. Once again, an increase in glucose levels. So talk to your kids and see how you can help them out and make them feel safer and calmer.
If I can help your children or you avoid or get off unnecessary medication, that may have serious side-effects and dependency issues, please book a "Conquer Your Cholesterol" consult with meat (519) 739-2402.

Sweetness of Life
One out of every FOUR natives is at a high risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. Diabetes is reaching epidemic proportions amongst aboriginals worldwide. It doesn't matter whether they're living in a condo in Toronto or an igloo in Nunavut.
Film West Associates, from Kelowna, BC, produced a video series quoting an elder who offers an unexpected explanation for diabetes amongst his people...
"The reason why Aboriginal people suffer gravely from diabetes is because we have lost the 'sweetness in life.'
"In essence, the Aboriginal way of life - eating off the land, getting in touch with the environmental, physical, mental and spiritual elements of life and looking after our bodies - has been lost."
The elder took a pause and continued. "Once we have found the sweetness in life, the diabetes will leave us."
Now, I realize that there is plenty of evidence suggesting that diabetes is a result of weight issues amongst aboriginals falling prey to North American eating habits. It is believed natives may be more prone to weight gain. Their ancestors experienced many famines which taught their bodies to efficiently store any excess calories when available, to help them survive in times of need.
So, yes, maybe weight gain is the superficial reason for the rise in diabetes amongst natives. But, I liked the elder's response better, which explains the deeper cause to why they have become prone to weight gain in the first place.
All the sweetness has been taken out of life. Let's look at what he said...
Eating off the land: In our modern era of TV dinners, hormone injected meat and pesticide laden food, we are moving away from that more and more. How often do people go out and pick their own strawberries, keep a garden in their backyard and snack on fresh fruit instead of a donut?
Staying in tune with the environment: Again, what is more sweet and makes you feel more alive than simply spending an afternoon at a park, going for a walk along the river, or spending a week hiking in Algonquin Park?
Physical Health: Daily exercise, playing sports (not just watching them on TV or using an Xbox) and taking time for a massage or an Epsom salt bath is so simple. You feel great doing it, you feel great after.
Mental Health: Mentally, we are regressing as a nation. The average Canadian reads 1.5 books a year, yet watches six hours of TV a day. There was a time when everybody had a hobby that they looked forward to each day -- whether it is quilting, playing the guitar, water painting, poetry writing or building a deck. Keeping our minds busy is a sure way to keep life interesting. And there's nothing sweeter than finishing a project, and seeing what you've accomplished.
Spiritual Health: Spiritually, the more we turn to technology to satisfy us, the more it can become our God. Now, I'm just a doctor not a shaman, and I'm using technology to write this letter to you. Let's just say that the Indian elder has a point... The more we fall away from our connection with the Source of everything, the more we'll seek sweetness where it cannot be found, and walk away feeling unsatisfied.
Last email, I pointed out a few side-effects from eating too much sugar. It's a touchy subject. Everybody likes their sweets. But what I'm trying to show you here is that you can find sweets in more things than dessert.
Examine how your day goes, what you are accomplishing, what you are doing with your time. Is it satisfying you? Are there things you'd like to accomplish that you aren't? Do you look forward to work each day? Did you want to learn to draw or play the piano, but haven't done so yet? Can you remember the last time you spent a day with your family amongst nature?
Sweetness of life is essential to happiness, health and prosperity.
If all you try to do to get sugar-cravings under control is suppress them, then you know you'll just give in when life gets too rough. Suppression is futile. Substitution is key. If you have other "sweets" in your life to look forward to, then that extra slice of cake or bottle of pop starts to loose its appeal.
If you need someone to talk to about how your current lifestyle, work and environment may be affecting your health, please book a"Sweet Life, Healthy Body" consult with me by calling my receptionist Suzanne at (519) 739-2402.

Knock Out Your Immune System!
I don't drink coffee. I don't think I've ever drank a full cup of coffee in my life.
Nonetheless, while at the all-you-can-eat resort in Mexico last month, an item on the dessert menu pulled me in like a tractor beam from Star Trek: Cappuccino with Kahlúa.
"Oh yeah!" I thought. "Sounds yummy."
So for three or four dinners, of our seven-day escape, I had a Kahlúa Cappuccino.
My wife, Natalia, sees me and says, "What are you drinking?"
"Cappuccino," I replied, matter-of-factly.
"Have you ever had one in your life?"
"No. This is the first."
It was nice… eat whatever, drink whatever, and not worry. That's what vacations are for.
That's what makes a vacation a vacation.
The problem comes when people try to aim for a"vacation-experience" all year round. Not only is it impossible, damaging to your health and emptying of your wallet, but it sort of ruins the fun. I mean, if you're always on vacation, then there is no vacation...
Besides, discipline has its own attraction, its own rewards. Self-control can make you feel like a king or queen, gives you superior health and allows you to accomplish all those things you think you can't.
Now, last week I promised I'd share with you one ingredient that if you consume in excess quantities will greatly impair your immune system. I was probably close to consuming that one ingredient in excess quantities with my Kahlúa Cappuccino. Can you guess which ingredient? No it's not caffeine. It's not alcohol.
It's sugar.
100 grams of sugar will suppress the function of your white blood cells known as the neutrophils. Neutrophils are your first line of defence against bacterial infections. Drinking about two cans of pop or juice will knock them out by about 50%. This starts about 30 minutes after ingestion and lasts up to five hours.
Doesn't matter whether it's white sugar or 100% organic fruit juice or unpasteurized orange blossom honey.
Five hours and your white blood cells are in sugar-hangover state.
Keep in mind, 100 grams of sugar at one meal is a lot. That's three ounces of pure sugar. Many people however, pull it off, some several times a day...
* A 32 oz. Dairy Queen Mr. Misty Slush has 112 grams of sugar.
* A McDonald's Vanilla Shake has over 48 grams. Of course, who just slurps one shake? Throw in a McFlurry with Butterfingers and you've added another 55 grams of sugar.
Now, I'm not into counting calories. But 100 grams of sugar a day is 400 calories. For most women that's 25% of their calorie intake right there, for men, 20%.
So, as you can see, I'm not asking you to be sugar-phobic. A little bit is not going to kill you. Almost all natural foods contain sugar, it's necessary for life.
In fact, it's hard to "overdose" with fruit sugar. A typical piece of fruit only has 15-20 grams of sugar. It also has more fibre than juice or other sweets, which slows down the absorption of sugar and cuts future cravings.
What I'm saying is don't make a meal of sweets. Avoid eating foods that are laden with white sugar (e.g. fast food or packaged foods). Live without a bottle of pop or juice always at your side.
Not only will you keep your immune system up, but you'll avoid all the other nasty side-effects that come with too much sugar.
Now, keep in mind, I want you to keep the sugar down, but that doesn't mean you have to keep the sweet things out. What do I mean? I'll fill you in next week, with the answer from the chief of a reservation explaining why natives experience so many cases of diabetes.
Yours in health,
Dr. Karlo Mauro, N.D.

P.S. If you are battling sugar-cravings, consuming too many sweets, pop and candy, you should book a "Maximum Energy Without the M&M Fix" appointment. I can show you many foods you can start adding to your diet that will naturally get rid of sugar cravings. Plus, there's one culprit in most people's diets that increases the impulse to reach for another chocolate bar. Call(519) 739-2402 and Suzanne can set you up with an appointment ASAP.
P.P.S. Inside the March print newsletter (arriving any day now) I'll share with you an immune building "prescription" that most MDs use themselves, but only recommend to 17% of their patients. At least that's the case in North America. Over in Europe cardiologists are sending their patients home with the stuff. It's all natural, inexpensive and a favourite with my kids.
Here's what else you can expect in the March newsletter...
* Why Dr. Mauro And Airplanes Don't Get Along... pg. 1
* What Al Gore Didn't Know He Knew About Our Fatty Membranes …pg. 2
* What's the Deal With Omega Six and Nine?... pg. 3
* Flax Seed Oil Versus Fish Oil... pg. 4
* Newsletter Contest: Top Ten Finalists... pg. 4
If you've been an active patient within the last 12 months, you're in. Expect the newsletter sometime soon. If you're new, give Suzanne a call at (519) 739-2402 to set up an initial consultation. If you'd like more info first, let us know your postal address and we'll send a welcome package. It'll include a DVD that will show you how I combine 3,000 year old Chinese medicine with 21st century technology to evaluate any symptom you may be experiencing.

He Shot Him When He Wasn't Looking
A patient -- let's call her Grace -- came in the other day with quite the story...
Apparently her husband had been to see their GP. The physician wanted to give him the flu shot. Grace's husband said he didn't want the flu shot, or any other vaccine for that matter.
But the doctor gave it to him anyways.
When he got home, he said to Grace, "I can't believe it! He just gave it to me. Said I needed it because I'm over sixty. He even told me to bring you in to get it, too."
Now, ignoring the fact that it's more or less illegal to give someone an injection without their consent, this type of black-and-white thinking about vaccines infuriates me. And Grace wasn't too happy about it either.
I don't think she booked that appointment with her GP.
I have nothing against medical doctors in general. Most MDs would never show such disrespect for their patients -- even if they didn't agree with their decision.
But that's the thing, people need to make their own decisions, not their MDs, not their NDs.
You need to know all the facts, yourself, before making decisions about your health. You need to know things like...
One reporter for the Washington Times, in April 2005, wrote an article on his investigation of a large Pennsylvania Amish community. What was he searching for? Children with autism. One in every 166 children in the United States has autism. According to that ratio, he should have found 200 Amish children with autism.
Instead, he found only three. Two of whom had received vaccinations before being adopted into the Amish community. The third child may have received a vaccination, they weren't sure.
You see, Amish people don't usually have their children vaccinated. They avoid all modern advancements of the last century.
So you have to wonder, what are we doing, in our technological wonder world, which these back-nature folks are not, that is causing such high rates of autism amongst our children?
Now, get this...
There's a new vaccine on the market by Merck & Co. It targets the human papilloma virus (HPV). Two strains of HPV are believed to cause 70% of all cases of cervical cancer in women.
The virus is only transmitted by sexual contact.
Merck & Co. has been pushing to make it mandatory for grade six girls to receive the vaccine.
In Alberta, they've even considered giving the vaccine to new borns. They'd track the children to see if in 25-30 years they experience less cases of cervical cancer.
Alright, I'm all for reducing cases of cervical cancer. I tell all my female patients to get regular Pap smears done (which, by the way, is the single most effective cancer screen in the history of medicine). Approximately 400 Canadians died from cervical cancer last year. But, I'm just not at all convinced giving a vaccine is the route.
Why? First of all, most people don't realize a lot of vaccines contain mercury -- one of the most deadliest substances on the planet to us human beings.
Secondly, vaccines do not have a 100% success rate, by any means, especially in cancer prevention.
Thirdly, the general public needs to know about the natural options that exist to fighting off viruses -- where the "side-effects" are mostly, if not completely, positive.
Next week, I'll send you an email explaining how one dietary change can boost your immune system by 200%. How? There's a food-type that many people are eating in excessive quantities that literally knocks out 50% of their white blood cell activity for four hours following ingestion.
Most North Americans are consuming a lot of this one substance.
If you need help deciding whether you want to get vaccinated, or whether you want to vaccinate your children, please book an appointment with me. I can fill you in on the pros and cons, plus show you a host of naturopathic treatments to keep your family virus-free, with strong and healthy immune systems.
Just let Suzanne know at (519) 739-2402 that you want to talk with me about your options, and she'll book you a consult ASAP.

Dr. Karlo Mauro, N.D.

The Heart Attack Grill - "Taste Worth Dying For"
While McDonald's has recently been trying to mask decades of sin with McVeggie burgers, McWraps and healthy salads (that contain heaps of sugar in their dressing, by the way)... a new burger joint has opened in Tempe, Arizona, and they aren't trying to hide anything.
Here's just three items from their menu:
Single Bypass Burger - 1/2 pound of beef, bacon, 2 oz. cheese
Double Bypass Burger - 1 pound of beef, 2 layers of bacon and 4oz. of cheese
Triple Bypass Burger - 1-1/2 pounds of beef, 3 layers of bacon and 6 oz. of cheese
On their ad you can even see the grease dripping down the side-- oh, excuse me, it says that's their "gourmet sauce."
They are called the HEART ATTACK GRILL and their motto: "Taste Worth Dying For."
With every burger you can get a side of Flatliner Fries, deep-fried in pure lard. Not only that, but cigarettes are offered on the "menu."
There is even a Quadruple Bypass Burger - 2 pounds of beef, 4 layers of bacon, and 8 oz. of cheese (I don't know how anyone fits that in their mouth). If you complete the Quadruple Bypass Burger, one of their waitresses in a skimpy nurse's outfit will push you out to your car in a wheelchair.
Sadly, they are catering to people's UNnatural tendencies to eat junk and be slothful. Not good.
At first I thought this place was such a success because of the"nurses." But no, there's more going on here.
The way I see it, they're not trying to cover up or hide anything. They come right out and advertise, "Our Food Will KillYou!"
Unlike McDonald's who promotes a few semi-healthy items, knowing full well that by the time someone reaches the front of the lineup, their healthy resolution will be crushed by a side order of fries and coke.
Then what happens? They feel guilty.
Well, not at the Heart Attack Grill…
"It's okay to kill yourself. It's okay to be fat. It's okay to have a triple bypass. Be yourself!"
I'm all for people being themselves. I just think we have more potential than the Heart Attack Grill gives us credit. It's just awful. What they are doing is dangerous. It's hurting people.
Does their slop taste better than a crisp salad, whole grain bread and a lean piece of roast? Depends what you're used to. If all you drink is milk shakes, then carrot juice tastes rather bland. If all you drink is carrot juice, then milk shakes may seem sickeningly sweet.
When I first heard about the Heart Attack Grill, I got upset. It seemed like a bad sign. I mean the Heart Attack Grill is packed every night. It's expanding into a franchise.
Then I realized it's a GOOD sign. You know why? Because the Heart Attack Grill is serving a MINORITY.
Just like smoking. 50 years ago everybody was smoking but a few. Now it's the reverse. More and more people, like yourself, are caring about their health.
The Heart Attack Grill is catering to a dying breed (pun intended). It's a place where they can go and feel "okay" that they're hurting themselves.
It's not really all too popular in the scheme of things. The owners were just smart enough to target a small, hungry crowd who everybody else has started to ignore.
At least, however, The Heart Attack grill is honest with its customers.
Always be honest with yourself too. I'm not saying you should never eat anything unhealthy. A little bit of this or that, won't kill you. Instead, I'm saying you should FOCUS on eating foods that fill you with life and vigor.
The Heart Attack Grill may have a "taste worth dying for" but nature's bounty offers foods worth LIVING FOR.
You can waste your life away in a smoky restaurant, clogging your arteries with some "gourmet sauce," or you can eat a healthy meal with your loved ones and take an invigorating walk afterward in the fresh air.
Your choice…
If you need any help getting back on track, or staying on track, feel free to call my receptionist Suzanne at (519) 739-2402 and book an appointment with me. We'll put together a plan of eating, exercise and high-thinking, so that you can enjoy a life worth living.

Last Call For Entries!
Last call for entries in my Give-My-Newsletter-A-Name contest. I'm referring to the print newsletter mailed to patients each month -- not these email broadcasts.
Already many patients have submitted ideas. In the upcomingMarch issue, I'll print all of them, and let you be the judge.
So if you have any ideas (I sure have seen some creative ones) hit reply, and I'll add them to the list. The winner will be announced in the April issue.
Have a great weekend!
Yours in health,
Dr. Karlo Mauro, N.D.

P.S. Many people have commented on the abs routine I laid out in the February newsletter. I know it may make you a little sore at first, but keep at it. If I go a week without my abs routine, I start feeling sluggish. If you need some further encouragement, you can signup for David Grisaffi's Flatten Your Abs-newsletter at...
www.thenaturopath.ca/abs
P.P.S. Please try my stress-reduction prescription from page 2 of the newsletter. Let me know how it goes for you. If I print your story here or in the newsletter, I'll send you $20 in "Mauro Money." Remember, there are other things to listen to in the car than just who shot who and what that politician did to the other. Here's some motivational CDs that can make good use of time spent commuting, by helping you reach some of your big goals in life...

Spicy Drinks and Explosive Sandwiches
This is Alek, Dr. Mauro's son. I'm four and a half years old and Daddy said it's time I start writing my own email broadcasts. He's so busy since we got back from our trip to Mexico, that he thought I could man the keyboard this week.
It was a little strange... when we were heading to Mexico the pilot stopped the plane in Texas to put more gas. I think he really needed to use the washroom. Anyways, the pilot said it'd only take 30 minutes but it felt like 3 hours. Got real hot in the plane too, even though it was February.
Then the guy with the food comes around and starts yelling: "Peanuts! M&Ms! Pringles! Oreo cookies!"
Daddy wasn't too happy about the menu. I never saw so much junk food at one time.
Then the guy starts yelling: "Pepsi! 7-Up!"
I have no idea what that stuff is. Once I was at a birthday party and they had these cans of drink called "pop." I asked Daddy what pop was. He told me it was "spicy" -- so I stay away from it.
So I ordered some juice instead…
...and pulled out the almond butter and jam sandwich Mama made for me.
"Almond butter?" Daddy said, looking nervously over his shoulder. "You smuggled an almond butter and jam sandwich on the plane?"
"What does smuggled mean, Daddy?"
"Alek, you can't bring almond butter and jam on an American plane. President Bush forbids it. You can't even bring toothpaste on a plane! Almond butter could easily be laced with gun powder and jam with liquid explosives. Combine them together with a little Coca-Cola and the whole plane could go KA-BOOM."
But he let me eat it anyways.
These planes are dangerous... Daddy said our ears could pop when the plane took off, so we actually got to have some lollipops. Somehow sucking on them will stop your ears from going KA-BOOM too.
Problem was they were so good me and Ella would finish them before the plane even took off.
"All done Daddy! More please!"
Daddy doesn't feel too good on planes and gives in easy. He told Mama, "Give them more. Give them whatever they ask for!" and then went back to sleep.
In the March newsletter Daddy will talk more about how flying and his stomach don't get along too well and why Mama said, "Your useless on a plane!" when we landed in Mexico.
Until then I hope you enjoyed my story and the pictures. Daddy helped me with the spelling and the grammur.
Daddy also told me to remind you to check out the February newsletter you should have received last week, if you’re a patient of his. If your stomach bothers you even when you're not in an airplane, check out the insert that Daddy put in the newsletter to help you out.
Have a good day,
Alek

Life's Rough On Vacation
Hola, I'm writing to you from my laptop on a beach on the west coast of Mexico. I thought I'd send you some warm tidings.
The days are busy, but a fun busy.
We have TOUGH decisions daily like... Are we going to walk to the beach first and play in the ocean? Shall we build sandcastles? Should we swim in the big people pool or the kids' pool? If it's the kids' pool, which slide are Ella and Alek going to go down. Then we have to decide which of the five restaurants we're going to eat at.
Life's rough on vacation.
Some people worry about the food/water in Mexico. We don't. Probiotics three times daily, and forget about it. I was responsible for packing all the natural medicines for the trip -- the "just in case remedies." Filled up one-fourth of a suitcase! Better to be safe than sorry.
Oh yeah, Natalia did something amusing (from my perspective at least)...
She's very meticulous when it comes to packing, etc. She started a couple of weeks ahead of time buying summer clothes for the kids. I didn't do much, to be quite honest. Packed the night before. That drives Natalia nuts.
Anyways, we arrived Saturday night. Upon waking up Sunday morning Natalia realizes she didn't pack Alek's underwear. I couldn't help but laugh, but she was so angry at herself. The instant I said, "How could you forg-" she struck back with her famous line: "I can't think of everything!"
I made sure the February newsletter was done and ready to mail before I left. You should have already received it in your mailbox (if you're an active patient). You can even drop by the clinic today until 5pm. Suzanne can take your order.
B vitamins help relax the nerves. Not quite like a one-week vacation... but maybe the next best thing?
I'll be back to windy, snowy Tecumseh this weekend. Please book ahead if you have any health issues I can assist with -- as I already have a fair-sized waiting list upon my return.
El tuyo en salud,
(Yours in health,)

P.S. Alek says he wants to live in Mexico and that we should move here. He wants to go to school on the beach and learn how to build sand castles. Sounds good to me.
P.P.S. Make sure to check out the insert in the February newsletter, regarding my new booklet to help anybody dealing with digestive troubles. If you'd like a copy, just call Suzanne at (519) 739-2402 and she'll post you one for free.

"Dr. Mauro Takes On ABC TV"
This is Suzanne. I'm sitting here, by myself, in Dr. Mauro's Naturopathic Clinic. He just hired me as his new full-time receptionist last Wednesday. Then Saturday he flew off to Mexico.
Just before he left, he told me, "Oh yeah, send out an email introducing yourself."
Gulp!
So much for the days when a receptionist just answered phones...
Okay... I live in Tecumseh, but was born in Windsor (travelled far from home).
I'm married, with a son who just turned 21, another who is eight and a beautiful 14-year old daughter. It was a wise move spacing them out that way -- built in babysitters.
In my spare time (?) I hang out with my family but I also love to exercise... four times a week: Treadmill, weight circuit, Elliptical machine, etc.
When I showed up for work last Friday, my new boss says:
"Did you see last night's episode of 'Grey's Anatomy'?"
With his flight leaving in 24 hours, and hardly having anytime to train me, I was surprised he even brought this up. Maybe it was a test?
"I did," I replied.
"Natalia got me hooked on this show now," Dr. Mauro continued, with mounting excitement in his voice.
"It's very suspenseful," I replied.
"It's unbelievably suspenseful!" he said.
Truth is, it's actually my favourite show. I love the way it mixes the medical theme, drama, suspense and personal character stories all in under an hour.
Last Thursday's episode, where Meredith's mother tells her in that afterlife scene, "You're anything but ordinary. You need to go back." got me crying. Dr. Mauro said his wife was in tears too. Even he had to admit it choked him up (there's a soft guy under that 3rd degree black belt after all!).
But then Dr. Mauro's excitement went sour, when he remembered a previous episode where a lady with cancer was undergoing chemotherapy and the doctor's around her became very ill from her "toxic blood" as they called it.
Then one of the docs says that "they found some herbal remedies in her pocket" which caused her blood to become toxic.
These shows have a lot of influence over people and Dr. Mauro felt they were misrepresenting the case completely: "That was totally uncalled for and unethical on their part. It makes me angry! I can't help but wonder how much of that program is sponsored by pharmaceutical companies?"
Well, that got Dr. Mauro all worked up. He likes the show, but thinks they abuse their power to educate the public.
Good thing he's in Mexico now, relaxing on the beach. When he comes back, he'll be well rested and ready to take on ABC.
Well, today or tomorrow, all active patients should be receiving the February newsletter.
I'm in the clinic until Thursday. Please drop by, stock up and introduce yourself.
Stay warm,
Suzanne

Due South
Just wanted to say goodbye...
Last week my wife decided we were going on vacation. She got a nice deal on last minute tickets to a resort we like in Mexico. Heading out from Detroit tomorrow at noon.
Man, it's been a whirlwind of a week. Last-minute vacations are dangerous.
By coincidence I was just bringing in a new receptionist to the clinic. Working away today to get her up to speed, so she can run the clinic in my absence.
Plus, we had some delays with the printing shop and are just finishing up the February newsletter. My staff will stuff and mail them all by Monday. Look in your mailbox Tuesday/Wednesday for your complimentary copy (if you're an active patient).
Here's what's coming...
"It's 4 a.m. And There's A Man With A Flashlight Looking In Through Our Front Door"... pg.1
Two Little Glands That Can Save Your Life OR Deplete It... pg.2
A No-Cost Stress Reduction Prescription... pg.2
Natural Funny Bone Supplements... pg.2
Virtual Weight Lifting... pg.2
Before Marriage, After Marriage... pg.2
You Don't Want Last Night's Dinner Hanging Around In Your Gut... pg.3
An Ab-Sculpting Remedy That Also Builds Digestive Power... pg.3
A Laxative-Free Way To Conquer Constipation... pg.4
All right, I'm heading south. Wish me a safe flight. I'll bring back some pictures. If you need any supplements (check out the newsletter for a special discount coupon on Multi B vitamins) Suzanne will be at the clinic next week, Monday through Thursday, from 10am to 5pm.
If you were thinking of booking an appointment, I'd do it now, as my schedule will most likely get backed up on my return.
Nos vamos!

Dr. Mauro and Oprah Winfrey Gave The Same Prescription
The Thursday before last, I was sitting down with a patient who is going through a lot of trouble in her life. Not just health, but otherwise. I suggested she get a copy of a film that I've been recommending to my patients for a while.
Later that day she calls the office to let me know that same film was just featured on Oprah.
For those who missed it, Oprah interviewed the creator of the movie "The Secret" -- an Australian lady by the name of Rhonda Byrne. Larry King Live also interviewed Dr. Joe Vitale about his involvement with "The Secret" movie a couple months ago.
In short, it is a documentary-style film that reveals the great "secret of life." Simply put: What you think is what you attract. They back it up with real-life examples and interviews with successful authors, speakers, writers, doctors (!) who've all consciously applied this principle in their life.
Now Oprah focused on using the secret to get out of debt, find a more fulfilling job and attract your dream mate. All noble goals, but I'd like to talk about how "The Secret" applies to improving your health...
If you've already seen the film, you know that it briefly tells the story of Morris E. Goodman, AKA "The Miracle Man."
At 35, people called Mr. Goodman, Mr. Success -- up until the accident.
He was one of the leading life insurance businessman in the world and a member of The Million Dollar Round Table.
On March 10th, 1981, all that money became useless.
That afternoon, he took off in his private airplane for a pleasure flight. He left behind a loving wife and a beautiful home.
When trying to land a few hours later, the plane crashed. The paramedics had to use a hand pump keep him breathing after the rescue team removed him from the wreckage. He was rushed to the hospital...
His entire spine was crushed. The doctors said he'd never walk again.
His diaphragm was useless. The doctors said he'd never breathe again without a respirator.
His larynx was destroyed. The doctors said he'd never speak.
His swallowing reflexes were so damaged he'd never be able to eat again.
It was rare for anyone to even survive two severe breaks to the neck. The doctor confessed to his wife, "I don't think he'll survive the night."
Morris' eyes could still blink, however. His brain was undamaged. Using an alphabet chart held in front of him, he told the doctor that he'd walk out on his own two feet, without mechanical aid, by Christmas.
All he had was his mind and the ability to imagine. He heard Zig Ziglar say once that our nervous system cannot tell the difference between imagination and reality. Morris spent his days visualizing himself the way he wanted to be...
Then one night he started to breathe on his own. The respirator was removed by an astounded physician.
A month or so later, he could move his hands. He was assigned a physiotherapist.
Then he could "control" an electric wheelchair (to the terror of other patients).
Finally he started to stand with the aid of a walker.
Nine months after the crash he walked out of the hospital on his own two feet, with no supports.
This is how "The Great Secret of Life" can be used to overcome your current health problems. It doesn't mean you should abandon treatments and remedies. Morris had help for his nine month journey. It just means you need to believe in yourself more than any given cure.
To see an inspiring trailer for The Secret movie, click here.
If you'd like to have your own copy of film, I recommend clicking this link, as it costs less for Canadians.
The DVD also includes a moving story of a woman who cured herself of breast cancer without any chemotherapy or radiation. See what route she took instead...

Dr. Karlo Mauro, N.D.

P.S. If you think you have mental blocks over getting well, we need to talk. I firmly believe that if the mind isn't working with us, no matter what treatments I offer you, they'll have little effect. If you'd like to sit down and discuss how you feel about your ability to get better, I'd encourage you book an appointment with me at (519) 739 2402.
We can set definite goals, definite dates and work together to achieve them. I strongly encourage you to put your goals in writing. It's one of the best ways to avoid the negative self-talk that creates a downward spiral, quickly. You need to write down and constantly visualize all the positive things that will come about by meeting your health goals. You also need to be aware of what will be the result if you do not meet your goals.
It's vital to get pumped up with enthusiasm if you want to make changes in your life. You can leverage your will power with motivation and support. If I can help, call (519) 739-2402 to book an appointment.
P.P.S. I'm heading off for an overdue vacation next week. Me, Natalia, Alek and Ella are flying south! More later...

98 Years Old And Still In Love
Received this story from Anthony M. (a patient who lives just outside of town) about his 98 year old grandfather's love for his grandmother who passed away some twenty years earlier. Seemed like a perfect tale for Valentine's Day.
First, I wanted to point out that Anthony's grandpa wasn't living in a nursing home, nor with family. He lived on his own, gardening, cooking, reading and doing pottery. Not only that, but at the age of 65, upon retiring, he took up landscape painting. Now, many might think 65 too old to start something new, but he kept it up for the next 33 years, producing hundreds of acrylics of country homes, boats and winter valleys.
Anthony told me that in the summer of 2003 his Grandpa had to be hospitalized because his kidney had failed. He would not be able to return home. Needed 24 hours care in a nursing home. Well, his Grandpa waived his arms in the air and said, "No way!" The next day, after breakfast in bed, he passed away, peacefully.
Alright, here's Anthony's story -- and if this isn't a love story, what is?...
"When my grandfather was 90 or so, he had to have a pacemaker installed. After the surgery my aunt moved in for a week or two to help out (or mainly get in the way).
"Grandpa spent most of his evenings sitting on this hundred year old couch with a quilt stretched across. His hearing was almost gone so TV and radio never interested him. Instead, he was a voracious reader, having every National Geographic since 1955, read front to cover.
"Anyways, the quilt on the couch was ragged and dirty. My aunt immediately removed it and put into storage.
"My grandfather immediately refused to sit on the couch.
"'But that thing is in rags,' protested my Aunt.
"'Doesn't matter,' said my Grandpa, 'Your mother made that, and I'm not sitting on that couch without it.'
So, after a few days, my aunt saw that he was serious. She took the quilt out of storage, gave it a good washing and then said, 'Alright, let's fix it up then.'
"Each day, for the next week, they sewed that quilt back together, patched holes, and made it look brand new. For the entire maintenance period, my Grandpa refused to sit on the couch. It wasn't until the quilt was placed back did he finally return to his favourite spot, with National Geographic in hand.
"The marvel of this, to me, is that Grandma died about 20 years earlier."
Thanks for sharing that story Anthony. Sure beats the regular Hollywood mush. Can't help but feel your grandfather's genuine passion for his wife, for his art and for life, is what kept him thriving to nearly a 100.
Enthusiasm, love and creativity would be the number one selling prescription if we could package it in a bottle.

p.s. On page 2 of my February print newsletter (which should be arriving next week in your mailbox -- if you're an active patient) I talk about the "Before Marriage, After Marriage Syndrome." In fact, just the other week a lady came into the clinic and told me, "Every since I got married, 6 years, ago, I've put on 35 extra pounds."
What a coincidence, as that was exactly what I writing about for the February newsletter...
"I don't know what it is. Some subconscious drive that tells us to look good until we've found our mate. and then says, 'You can just slack off for the rest of your life -- You're all set now!'"
So on page 4 I outline part of my personal abs workout routine that can give you an "organic" six-pack in as little as 15 minutes, three times a week. It can also relieve constipation and get rid of any sluggishness in your gut.
p.p.s. If you aren't on the mailing list for the newsletter, that means you're not a patient, yet. Even if you feel you're in good shape, having a naturopathic check up once a year is a simple preventive for disease and a way to help keep your body running at peak performance. Fight or Flight... or Faint!
Picture this... I'm 17 years old sitting in the back seat of my friend's Ford Topaz heading to soccer practice. Large snowflakes are coming down and the ground is slick. (Remember when it used to snow in November?)
We are heading westbound approaching the Tecumseh Rd. and Ouellette Ave. intersection. The light turns yellow and we speed up trying to make the left hand turn.
Unfortunately for us, a transport truck heading eastbound on Tecumseh Rd. approaching Ouellette also speeds up trying to beat the light. All of a sudden I close my eyes waiting for the crash and...
I pass out! Didn't hear or feel a thing. Next thing I remember, I'm lying on the cold, wet road with 10 people staring down at me.
"Is this a dream?" I ask.
I try to get up but the entire right side of my body feels like - well - like I got hit by a Mack truck!
A few fractured ribs, a punctured lung, a bruised kidney and liver... I survived!
How did my body know what to do just before the collision? Well, we all have this automatic defense mechanism which is controlled by our adrenal glands.
I fainted because of the overload of stress. In the few seconds before impact, my body assessed the situation. I couldn't run away from the truck (flight) nor could I stay and deal with it (fight). So my next best option was to faint.
This is a true life-and-death example of how our adrenal glands work under a stressful situation. The problem is that we are constantly dealing with stressful events... but in our minds. The constant wear and tear on our adrenal glands leads to...
ADRENAL FATIGUE!!
This reflects the adrenals' inability to respond to stress. They simply don't secrete enough juice to keep you going!
Some of the common symptoms of adrenal fatigue are: feeling drained all the time no matter how much sleep you get, afternoon lows (especially between 3:00pm and 4:00pm), craving for salty foods, mild depression, thoughts more fuzzy, memory less accurate, more irritability...
One of the few good things about adrenal fatigue is that you can do most of what is necessary to recover and regain your adrenal health, yourself.
There are no magic pills for adrenal fatigue but there are certainly key lifestyle changes and nutritional supplements that will greatly improve your adrenal function.
Call (519) 739 - 2402 to book a "Boost My Adrenals" appointment.

The Dracula of Hormones
I attended an Aikido seminar a few years back given by the highest ranked instructor in the world.
At the end of the seminar, we got a rare opportunity to sit in a circle and ask him questions about anything. Usually after a seminar like this, the instructor bows, changes and disappears.
A 4th degree black belt student asked, "Sensei, what is your favorite technique?"
Now keep in mind there are over 3,000 very complicated techniques in Aikido. I sat there anticipating which convoluted technique he would pick. After the interpreter told Sensei the question, he grinned. Then, in this soft Japanese voice he answered...
"Ikkajo."
This is one of the most primary techniques in Aikido. It is taught to the beginner student on their very first day.
"He can't be serious," I thought at first as did many others.
Then, he went on to tell us the secret of Aikido: "Master the basics."
If you are trying to follow a healthy lifestyle, you have to master the basics:
Sleep, water, sleep, fruits, sleep, veggies, sleep, exercise... Did I mention sleep?
It doesn't get more basic than sleep. On average, adults require between 8 and 9 hours of sleep for maximum health benefits. Most of us get 7 hours or less.
Getting a good night's sleep has been shown to give you more energy, better concentration, decreased blood pressure, decreased sugar cravings and will put you in a better mood. It will even help prevent cancer... As long as you make enough melatonin.
The pea-sized pineal gland in your brain makes melatonin when the sun goes down and darkness occurs. Since melatonin only comes out in the dark, it is often referred to as the "Dracula of Hormones."
If you're like 70% of my patients I saw last week, you're probably having difficulties either falling asleep or staying asleep. This can be quite frustrating.
You may not realize that there are certain foods that will help you produce more melatonin and assist you in falling asleep and others that will make it EVEN MORE difficult to fall asleep (as well as possibly wake you up during the night).
Making a few simple changes to your sleeping arrangements can drastically increase your melatonin levels.
Plus, if you get up in the middle of the night to go to the washroom, there is one common mistake you can easily avoid that will stop your melatonin levels from plummeting.
So, if you're not happy with the quality or quantity of sleep you're getting, we should talk. I'll give you simple strategies that will help you fall asleep quickly, rest deeply and wake up the next morning refreshed.
Call (519) 739 - 2402 to book a "Refreshing Sleep" appointment with me so that you can have more energy through the day, focus better at work and build a stronger immune system.

Frog Soup, Anyone?
On the weekend, I watched "An Inconvenient Truth", a documentary on global warming presented by Al Gore. One scene from the film got me thinking...
...first, you see this pot bubbling and steaming with water. Next, a frog appears and it jumps into the boiling water. Within half a second, the frog leaps out.
No surprise, right? Now check this out...
Next, the same frog jumps into a pot of lukewarm water. Then, it is slowly brought to a boil. Eventually the water starts bubbling and steaming again, and the frog just sits there until, well...it is rescued just in time.
The frog didn't jump out because of the gradual increase in temperature. Gradual is the keyword here.
Now, I didn't mean to sound like Dr. Frankenstein but that scene got me thinking of Mrs. Procrastinator. I'll let her tell you her story...
"Hi. I'm Mrs. Procrastinator. In my late twenties all my gut problems started. First, some minor indigestion, gas and bloating. A little embarrassing. After meals I always had to make some excuse why I needed to leave the room. My eating habits weren't the best but definitely not the worst.
Throughout my thirties things slowly got worse. I started to realize I'd go a day or two without a bowel movement. It was not a good feeling. I thought I might be lactose intolerant so I cut out milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream...
In my forties, despite the "milk-free" lifestyle, I started experiencing abdominal cramps. I went from constipation to frequent and urgent. I stopped exercising, and rarely ventured out into public.
In my fifties now, I feel like I can't eat anything. Everything makes me feel ill. Nothing shows up on any of my medical tests. They keep telling me that I'm normal and it's all in my head.
I don’t feel normal! My joints are aching, my skin is dry and I am fatigued all day long. I can't play with my grand kids, I don't bake anymore...all I do is sit in front of the TV and fall asleep."
Now, if a wizard came along and transported Mrs. Procrastinator from her 20-year-old body into her 50-year-old body, she'd be in complete shock. There would be no way she could tolerate her symptoms.
After experiencing the unbelievable contrast and then brought back to her 20-year-old state, I bet she'd immediately start getting her gut under control...which really isn't that difficult a chore.
Did you know that gas and bloating may be signs that bacteria in your intestines are getting out of control? This could be because you're not breaking down food properly, or you have too much 'bad' bacteria in your gut to start with.
So, if you ever think you are being a "worry wort" by dealing with minor things that aren't quite right with your health...remember the frog in the pot of slowly heating water and...keep on keeping on.

P.S. If you, a family member or friend are experiencing abdominal bloating, gas or pain it should be dealt with as soon as possible. Don't be like the frog...the gradual increase in symptoms can go unnoticed for years which may seriously impair your gastro-intestinal system.
Certain foods cause different bowel problems. I know the typical culprits. What we'll do is line them up, and put each one on a "dietary trial" to find out what's upsetting your gut. Plus, I'll also show you foods and herbs that HEAL the gut and prevent future problems.
Call (519) 739 - 2402 to book a "Heal My Gut" appointment to help get your GI tract...back on track! A healthy digestive tract equals more vitality, increased mental sharpness and a stronger immune system!

Holiday Confessions of a Naturopathic Family
My kids rarely eat refined sugars (except the Smarties that their grandfather smuggles into the house).
Yet it seemed that every place we visited over the holidays, offered something sweet...especially for Alek and Ella.
It amazed me how quickly they became obsessed with sugar in such a short period of time. If you asked my two-year old daughter Ella what she wanted for breakfast...
BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS
...her answer would have been: "Toast, almond butter, jam and yogurt," with a cute grin on her face. If you asked her...
DURING THE HOLIDAYS
...she would exclaim: "Brday cake!" with a huge smile on her face.
You see, the only times she eats cake is at somebody's birthday party. So for Ella, there were many "brdays" over the holidays.
It has been well documented and you probably already know but I’ll tell you again...
SUGAR IS ADDICTING!!
The more you eat, the more you want.
Some would argue that it's even more addicting than heroin.
Letting your sugar cravings control you could lead to a very serious health condition...
...TYPE 2 DIABETES.
Studies show that having diabetes decreases life expectancy by 5 to 10 years. Why? Because diabetes is one of the most important risk factors for developing a stroke.
Now, I hope you'll never get diabetes, and that you are many years away from being at any serious risk.
Cutting back on the sweets may prevent disease for tomorrow. But it will also give you back more energy and vitality for TODAY.
If you're like most of my patients, you're probably trying to cut back on the sweets. A difficult battle for many.
That's because they don't know that…
There is another group of foods which most people consume two or three times a day that create unnatural cravings for sugar. When you eliminate these foods from your diet, sugar cravings start to diminish naturally.
Not only will I share this one strategy with you in a consultation but many others to help you get rid of the vicious round of sugar-highs and sugar-lows. I'll show you plenty of delicious foods you can eat that will give you energy all day long.
Call (519) 739–2402 to book a "Maximum Energy Without the M&M Fix" appointment to help get 2007 on track.

Let’s Sit Down...and Talk
Imagine this...I'm 21 years old coming home at 2:00am after a night out with my friends. My dad is waiting up for me as he always did. I grab a drink of water and can’t wait to get in my comfy bed. On my way up the stairs my dad says "Eh, where you going? Come here...let’s talk."
Fortunately, I was blessed to have a father who loved to talk...especially to me. Whenever he would sense a symptom of uneasiness with me (or my brothers), he would quickly catch the problem early and say "Son, let’s sit down and talk. What’s bothering you?"
And that’s what we would do...talk...for hours at a time. We would do so until the problem got resolved or I would at least feel better about the situation. His talks always stopped my problems from becoming more serious.
At times, he sounded like a philosopher telling me that "there are so many problems in this world because people simply don’t sit down and talk."
"Divorces would decrease if husbands and wives would communicate their true feelings to one another. People at their workplace don’t get along because of lack of communication. At a larger scale, even countries are at war because their leaders don’t sit down and talk."
My dad passed away on September 29th, 2005 and I cannot tell you how much I miss him...especially his talks.
If you have lost a loved one yourself, you know exactly what I'm talking about. What I would give to have one more late night conversation with him...just one.
His advice and teachings throughout the years had a tremendous influence on me. Ironically, my profession as a Naturopathic Doctor requires me to talk to people all day, particularly about their health.
First you, communicating your health concerns to me...and then me, showing you how to help your body heal itself through natural medicine.
It is important not to ignore your symptoms. Remember, symptoms are mere warning signals that your body is out of balance. Many of my patients tell me that they have had their symptoms for many months...sometimes years...before bringing it to my attention or their medical doctor’s attention.
Don’t wait!
The sooner you bring your health concerns to my attention, the quicker we can get your body back to its natural, healthy and balanced state.
Call today (519) 739 – 2402 to book an appointment so we can prevent your symptoms from becoming something more serious!
